Five Steps Sterilization Protocol at Nijanand Dental Care

Step 1: Manual Cleaning
Cleaning removes debris adhering to instruments, performed by carefully scrubbing with specialized solutions and brushes. Surgical instruments are pre-soaked immediately to prevent drying and ensure thorough initial decontamination before further sterilization steps.
Step 2: Visual Inspection
Validation of cleaning is confirmed by inspecting each instrument individually. Once confirmed visually clean, instruments proceed to the deeper cleaning stage of ultrasonic agitation.
Step 3: Ultrasonic Cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning uses high-frequency sound waves producing cavitation bubbles to thoroughly dislodge microscopic particles from metal or glass instrument surfaces using advanced ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
Step 4: Packing in Sterilization Pouch
Medical-grade sterilization pouches (peel packs) allow sterilant penetration while maintaining vacuum seals after autoclaving. These individual pouches safely store dental instruments to prevent contamination until opened during patient treatment.
Step 5: Autoclaving
Autoclaving uses high-pressure saturated steam at 121°C (250°F) for 15-20 minutes inside an autoclave machine. This process eliminates all bacterial spores and viruses, ensuring international sterilisation standards for complete safety.

We maximize the use of single-use disposables including glasses, gloves, face masks, suction tips, saliva ejectors, and syringes. Cotton and gauze are autoclaved prior to clinical use. Every item used during your dental visit adheres to strict hygiene standards for maximum patient protection.
